Chiropractic
Manipulation
Chiropractic Manipulation is used to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs and headaches. The purpose is to restore joint mobility by manually applying a controlled force to joints that have become hypomobile – or restricted in their movement – as a result of a tissue injury. Dr. Adam Hillaby and Dr. Lisa Vandekamp, Chiropractors in Grande Prairie, Alberta that are able to safely use chiropractic manipulation to help treat neuromusculoskeletal injuries.

Myofascial release is a soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. The therapy relaxes contracted muscles, improves blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulates the stretch reflex in muscles. There are a number of conditions and symptoms that myofascial release therapy addresses. Many patients seek myofascial treatment after losing flexibility or function following an injury or if experiencing ongoing back, shoulder, hip, or virtually pain in any area containing soft tissue.

custom orthotics
Custom-made orthotics can provide relief for many different types of foot pain including heel pain and plantar fasciitis; arch pain; pain caused by bunions, an injury or a sprain; pain caused by running, walking and sports; pain related to diabetes; and pain experienced by senior citizens whose feet change as they grow older. Foot orthotics do not actually correct foot or ankle problems, such as fallen arches. But orthotics can re-position the structures in the foot to optimize biomechanical function and reduce the chance of injury. Dr. Adam Hillaby and Dr. Lisa Vandekamp are able to administer custom orthotics to help treat neuromusculoskeletal injuries.
trigger point therapy
This is a type of soft tissue therapy that uses direct pressure to affect trigger points. Trigger points are tight and tender nodules found in muscle that cause local pain, and refer pain to other areas of the body. By reducing or eliminating the trigger point, both the local and referred pain can be reduced and even eliminated.
custom rehab programs
Treatment designed to get people out of pain for good. We are not just roller tables and hot packs. We can design a custom rehab program to correct faulty movement patterns and increase stability. A strong, flexible, properly functioning body is the best way to prevent re-injury. Dr. Adam Hillaby and Dr. Lisa Vandekamp utilize custom rehab programs specific to each patient to help treat neuromusculoskeletal injuries.
“Before coming to Elite Health & Performance I didn’t realize how much tension and stress I carried in my shoulders and neck. After coming and getting properly aligned I find not only is my neck and shoulders less tense, which has contributed to fewer migraines, but the rest of my body has fewer aches and pains. I have only been coming for a few weeks but I already feel 100% better. I plan on making Dr. Adam Hillaby part of maintaining my health, for the rest of my life.”
